This page is for owners, contractors, and capital providers on large industrial projects in four sectors. Torvane measures whether the field can carry the plan, reports what it observes, and sets out the options. The work is advisory. The client keeps every decision, and the sector decides which questions get asked first.
Four sectors, one failure pattern
Each sector below has its own sequencing logic and its own commissioning milestone. All four share a pattern: the plan is approved on paper, the craft assumption is never tested against the region, and the first honest measurement arrives when the field misses a date. The pages below describe what Torvane looks at in each.
LNG
Liquefaction and export projects carry module and stick-built interfaces, tank and marine sequencing, and a craft peak on a remote site. Readiness is decided long before the first cargo.
Power generation
Combined-cycle, gas, and thermal plants run on delivery windows and an interconnection date that will not move. High-energy piping density sets the craft demand.
Data-center power
On-site generation and substations are built to schedules the market has already sold. Electrical craft is scarce and several contractors share one campus.
Petrochemical and chemical
Units, interfaces, and heavy lifts need turnaround-grade craft. Brownfield work runs beside an operating plant, inside windows that were fixed a year ago.
What the sectors have in common
Scope is dense in mechanical, piping, and electrical work. Peak craft demand lands in a narrow window. Supervision is thinner than the histogram assumes. The start-up date is fixed by an offtake agreement, an interconnection, a customer contract, or a turnaround window, so schedule pressure is transferred to construction rather than absorbed. When a project is late, the same three questions arrive at once: where is it actually, what will it take, and what are the options.

Which sectors does Torvane work in?
LNG, power generation, data-center power, and petrochemical and chemical projects, generally above $250M of installed value. These sectors share the same failure pattern: dense piping and electrical scope, craft peaks the region cannot easily supply, and a commissioning date fixed by something outside the project.
Does the method change by sector?
The method does not change. The evidence does. Every assignment tests the same readiness gates against observed field conditions, but the sequencing questions, the trades that matter, and the commissioning milestone differ by sector, so the interviews and the walk-down differ with them.
Does Torvane take work outside these sectors?
Occasionally, where the scope profile is the same: large industrial construction with heavy mechanical, piping, and electrical content and a hard start-up date. If the pattern does not match, we say so before an engagement letter is written rather than learn it on site.
